Today, we will show you how to find the MAC and MAC CRC serial numbers on your Honeywell 3GL wireless cellular alarm communicator. The MAC serial number is a sequence of 12 numbers and letters in a row and is what is used to activate your 3GL.
Once your Honeywell 3GL cellular communicator has been activated we are than able to remotely access your LYNX Touch wireless security system to program zones and assist you with any troubleshooting issues that you may have.
The 3GL is the most reliable means of communicating your alarm signals back to the central alarm monitoring station. The reason why is because other modes of communication such as Phone/VOIP, broadband and Wi-FI communications can be rendered useless if someone decides to cut power, internet and phone cables running into your home.
The Honeywell 3GL cellular communicator is compatible with Honeywell wireless security systems such as, Honeywell L5200, L5210 and L7000. Previous systems such as the Honeywell L5100 will use the GSMVLP5-4G and if you happen to have the Honeywell L5000 you must completely upgrade your main control panel which is the touchscreen. The reason being is that the L5000 model never received and updated 3G/4G communicator.
