This video shows you how to disable the quick arm feature on the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system.
To disable it off select security, more, tools, installer code, program, down arrow, system settings, push quick arm selecting it to no, save, back out of programming, select yes to allow you back into programming. Now if you go back to your arming screen you will notice that the quick arm button is no longer there and you will be required to enter either your master code or user code to arm the system.
The purpose of the quick arm setting is to make arming your LYNX system a bit easier if you are in a hurry or if you have items in your hand and cant enter in your code. You will notice the quick arm button on the control panel when you arm your system away or stay. It will be located directly next to the cancel button on the bottom of the Honeywell L5200 touchscreen display. Quick arm is a setting that by default comes active on your L5200. This feature will allow you to arm your system without having to use your master or user code's.
The Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system has been discontinued by Honeywell and will no longer produce these alarm panels. The L5200 has been replaced by the Honeywell L5210 wireless security system the link to the new system has been placed below.
