The Honeywell SiXPIR encrypted wireless motion sensor battery can last up to 5 years with typical usage. When the SiXPIR motion sensor battery is getting low your Lyric Controller should let you know by going into a trouble state. The sensor will give you some notice to allow you time to change the battery. The Honeywell SiXPIR sensor uses One 3V lithium battery. Duracell DL123 and DL123A, Panasonic CR123A, Honeywell 466.
To conserve battery life, the SiXPIR is active only when the system is armed. When in the disarmed state, the panel will send a signal to the PIR letting it know the system is disarmed and the PIR will be inactive. When the system is armed, it notifies the PIR and the PIR will then be active.
