This video will show you how to program in the Honeywell 5808W3 wireless smoke detector into the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system.
To program a Honeywell 5808w3 wireless smoke detector in the The Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system from the home screen select security, more, tools, enter installer code "default is 4112", zones, program, select an available zone", edit, select serial number box, enter 7 digit serial number, done, loop number 1, enter zone description, device type, smoke detector, response type fire no verification, report yes, chime disabled, supervision supervised, select save, back, yes go to the home screen.
The Honeywell 5808W3 wireless smoke detector can send alarm, tamper, maintenance (when control panels are equipped to process maintenance signals), and battery condition messages to the system’s receiver. Smoothing algorithms minimize false alarms by smoothing out short term spikes from dust and smoke. All models also feature a restore able, built-in, fixed temperature (135°F) thermal detector that is also capable of sensing a freeze condition if the temperature falls below 41°F.
The Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system has been discontinued by Honeywell and they will no longer produce these alarm panels. The L5200 has been replaced by the Honeywell L5210 wireless security system the link to the new system has been placed below.
