Once you have done that insert the male end of the Honeywell LT-Cable into the female port of the Honeywell L5210 system. Next, plug in your alarm backup battery and seal the panel up. The Honeywell L5210 will begin its booting process press and hold the home button for 3 seconds, this will allow you to begin manipulating your system. Thats how you install the Honeywell LT-Cable into your Honeywell LYNX Touch L5210 wireless security system.
The Honeywell LT-CABLE comes with about 7 and half feet of cable for your DIY installation of your wireless security system. The most beneficial reason to go with the Honeywell LT-Cable is the positive and negative ends of the wire come ready with forks that slide directly into the positive and negative ends of the 300-04705 transformers that come with the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5210 wireless security system. The opposite end of the Honeywell LT-Cable is a male end that directly plugs into the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5210 wireless security system. With these two features in action with the Honeywell LT-Cable you wont have to worry about purchasing 22 gauge by 2 wire from the local hardware store, stripping, crimping or hard wiring cables for power to your DIY security system.
If you are looking to have your power transformer ran further than 7 and half feet than you will have to go the other route which is where you use either 18, 20 or 22 gauge by 2 conductor wire which runs from the power transformer to the wireless security system providing power to your DIY system. The only other option is to select a different location to mount your Honeywell LYNX Touch L5210 wireless security system.
