This video will show you how to install the Honeywell ILP5 internet communicator into the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5210 wireless security system.

Remove the Honeywell ILP5 internet communicator from its packaging and make sure to keep the original packaging for this device in the event you need to return for any reason. First, power down the Honeywell L5210 wireless security system by turning the panel on its side and depressing the two tabs at the top which should expose the insides of the panel. While in the process of opening the system there will be a cover tamper sounder. To silence this press the home button located just under the 4.3 inch touchscreen display. Unplug either the LT-Cable or remove the two power transformer wires from the dedicated terminals and unplug the backup alarm battery. Now that there is no power to the L5210 system we will be preparing the Honeywell internet broadband communicator. This is a very simple step take the Honeywell ILP5 locate the female chip receiving port and insert the chip that comes with the internet communicator, insert the end of the chip that states GSM into the internet communicator. The opposite end of the chip should still be exposed showing L5000 this end will be going directly into the Honeywell L5210 female port and should align the Honeywell ILP5 communicator and its three mounting holes.

Make sure the grey RJ45 extension wire runs to the right of the single top mounting hole on the Honeywell ILP5 communicator. Locate the mounting slot for the end of the grey RJ45 extension module which is on the Honeywell L5210 back mounting plate on the bottom left. Take the grey RJ45 extension module green circuit board and slide it with the port facing the outside of the panel, you will notice there should be a knockout where you can connect the CAT 5 cable to the grey RJ45 extension module it. Now you can secure the Honeywell ILP5 into place by screwing in the 3 screws that will come inside the Honeywell internet communicator manufacture box and insert the securing bracket for the grey RJ45 extension shown in the video. Its time to make sure all of your other modules are in place, plug in either your LT-Cable or your power transformer wire into there respected areas, plug in the alarm backup battery and write down the MAC and MAC CRC serial number off of the Honeywell internet broadband communicator. Now that everything is in place you can seal the Honeywell L5210 wireless security system.
