The The Honeywell 5800CO detector consists of a carbon monoxide sensor assembly with a wireless transmitter. The transmitter can send alarm, trouble, end-of-life tamper and low battery messages to the security system. There are no holes to drill or wires to run; you can conserve the attractiveness of the home or business while protecting its occupants from harmful carbon monoxide gas. The Honeywell 5800CO carbon monoxide detector is ideal for difficult to wire locations, applications where room aesthetics are critical or where hazardous materials exist.

What is Carbon monoxide? It is an odorless, colorless, tasteless and highly toxic gas that is made when fuels such as wood, gasoline, charcoal and oil are burned with inadequate air. The majority of fatalities occur with heating systems, engine powered tools and charcoal grills. Carbon monoxide is harmful when inhaled because it displaces oxygen in the blood and deprives the heart, brain and other vital organs of oxygen. Large amounts of CO can overcome a person in minutes without warning—causing them to lose consciousness and suffocate.

The Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system has been discontinued by Honeywell and will no longer produce these alarm panels. The L5200 has been replaced by the Honeywell L5210 wireless security system the link to the new system has been placed below.
